Installation Medium Noise
Between the oficial and the new maps, a serie of distances were established, this "negative", residual space occupied by sounds.
Medium Noise - transmigration between various points in time is explored through language and its many forms.
Debris collected from the coast of Costanera Sur in Buenos Aires, filtered with the current field recordings of Highway 9 de Julio for the sound installation.
Mechanism of filter ( microphone - speakers ) of sounds attached to the debris.
Landscape intervention - Holes in the Highway 25 de Mayo
Current coast of the Costanera Sur linked to the Highway 25 de mayo.
Rio de la Plata with inmigrants. Currently coast of the Costanera Sur where debris where collected. Landscape transformation.

The project Medium Noise is an artwork that propose the discovery of an Inner City, conducted by maps, builded with the sounds of debris traces.
It delved into the remnants of buildings discovered in the Costanera Sur Ecological Reserve of Buenos Aires. These artifacts, remnants of structures demolished in 1978 to construct the Highway 25 de mayo and Avenida 9 de Julio ,formed the basis of my installation.

Using concrete pieces, bricks, drains, and pipes collected from the reserve, I crafted a sound experience that brought to life the historical and political significance of these materials. By capturing sounds from the current environment of the highway and filtering them through contact microphones, I transformed these remnants into witnesses of urban development and transformation over time.

In this sense, the project that incorporates debris and technology to explore the relationship between urban spaces and their sounds can be seen as a form of "listening" to the collective unconscious of the city. Through the use of sound recordings and discarded materials, the project reveals the hidden layers of the landscape and encourages us to reflect on our own relationship to the city and its collective psyche.

My work serves as a reflection on the public space and the human impact on landscapes.

Where the world begins ?

Exploring the Intersections in the area of an ecological reservation in the coast of Buenos Aires. Each note, each reverberation, connects seemingly separate situations, blurring the lines between past, present, and future.

Through sound mapping, I chart the contours of this sonic landscape, guided by intuition and precision. Filtered and direct sounds intertwine, revealing hidden patterns and connections that defy categorization. The result are these images and recordings.

WORKSHOP SOUNDWALKS
